Meetings

When we have our usual dinner meetings, they are currently had at the
Victoria Hotel in Strathalbyn. 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Meals at ‘The Vic’
are scrumptious.  We generally have fascinating guest speakers and lots of fun
and camaraderie. Clothing is Neat Casual. We try to finish our meetings at
8.30pm, however members often hang around after the meeting to chat etc.

When not meeting at ‘The Vic’, we could be anywhere.
(Click on our calendar to see what is on our program first).

Structure

Our Board is made up of elected members, who include the President,
Past President, Director Club Service/Incoming President, Director Vocational,
Director Community Service Projects, Director International, Treasurer and Secretary.
All positions generally change each year.

The Board meets monthly and deals with club things. The membership is divided between the Directors, and these four teams determine what they will do for their year. There are also other non-board positions, like our Sergeant, Bulletin Editor,  Web master, Membership, Attendance, Raffle Draws for nights at ‘The Vic’, and some other various administrative tasks.

Fun-raising

We have a number of fun-raising activities, with some including sausage sizzles and the like with our whiz-bang catering trailer. We also have our ‘Great Duck Race’ (further details within our website) and the list goes on. All fun-raising activities are approved by the membership.

Community Service

Whatever Community Service activities are done by our Club, usually go through the Community Service Director and her/his team. These tasks generally involve helping our local community in areas of most need.

International

This can involve incoming or outgoing exchange students or international projects like providing Disaster Aid boxes, or many of the international areas of need identified by Rotary International.

Vocational

This can range from helping local students improve their employment opportunities, visiting local businesses or organizations to see how they operate, or just doing fun things.

Fees

We do have fees which are paid bi-annually and they are extremely affordable.
